Professional Wall Mural Hanging – The Gold Coast & Brisbane

Posted on

Wall murals today come in all designs and sizes. if you can’t find what you want then it’s just a matter of finding the right image and getting it customised to your wall.

You can get anything made into a mural. It can be a family photograph, a travel pic or a really cool image you found on the internet. Murals are only limited by your imagination.

A large part of our work as professional wallpaper hangers is installing murals throughout the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Nothing adds instant atmosphere quite like a mural.

Businesses are also finding that it is the perfect way to set them apart from the rest. Below are three very different businesses all using wall murals to great effect.

The above mural was made to fit this large wall in a media room. Our client  found the exact image he wanted and then had it made into a mural (with the help of Rebel Walls) that would fit his wall like a glove. The end result was stunning and an absolute head turner. We hang lots of murals and can honestly say that Rebel Walls is by far the best quality for murals out there.

We also love Ellie Cashman for large scale floral murals. Her murals can be made to any scale and size and look stunning once installed. They are also excellent quality. Below is one of her “Dark Floral” designs we installed as a feature wall in a bedroom.

Another of our clients wanted an urban industrial look for his murals and chose to get grunge style murals customised to his walls. These murals show how any design is possible, you just have to let your imagination run wild.

Not all Murals Have To Be Customised

Below we have some amazing murals that were bought in the standard sizes that murals come in. We always make your murals look amazing by centering them and trimming them to fit your wall.
If they happen to be smaller than your wall we make sure that the mural fits to your specifications whether that be in the centre or having a border around it.

Yet Another Powder Room Goes from Drab to Glam

Another example of how wallpaper can make a difference in the tiniest room in the house, the powder room!

Many people think that wallpaper will make a room look closed-in. It works just the opposite, though, as wallpaper helps to visually push the walls away and expand the space. Just look at how this black-on-gold swirly geometric design brings life to this powder room!

I wanted to be sure their mirror would look good once it was hung, so I took care to center the pattern on the wall where the mirror would hang.

Note: That white line around the counter top is caulk, which will keep splashed water from wicking under the paper, which could cause curling. It will be clear and invisible when it dries.

I hung this in a new home in the Galleria area of Houston.

When searching for any service it’s natural to want to get the best price but also to get the most experienced person for the job.

Since the popularity in wallpaper these days we have found a lot of people claiming to be able to professionally hang wallpaper.
Hanging wallpaper is a skill and a trade in itself and unfortunately not all painters can wallpaper but many say they can.

We have seen a lot of “cowboys” jump on the bandwagon to make a quick buck. They are not licensed and they are not experienced.

After being called out to fix botched up jobs we decided to list our services online at WOMO where our customers could review us.
That way any future customers can rest assured that we are qualified and experienced in hanging wallpaper just by listening to our past customers we have done work for.

We have over 30 years experience in hanging all types of wallpaper and invite you to visit our website http://www.wowwallpaperhanging.com.au/ where you can read our blog and see our gallery of recent work.

More importantly please visit our wallpaper hanging WOMO listing where we have customers leaving reviews.

We are proud to have been awarded with the WOMO 2015 service award.

Design Trend: Grasscloth Wallpaper

Posted on

Grasscloth wallpaper is very on trend right now. If you love neutral and natural with texture, you will love grasscloth wallpaper!

Studio Style Blog

Grasscloth has been around for quite awhile, but it’s making a resurgence in the design world. It makes any space instantly more elegant and expensive-looking. Whether it’s a neutral, statement color or pattern, grasscloth can add a great texture to any room in the house. A few of my favorites are below:

DEBORAH BOWNESS WALLPAPER

Posted on

If you havn’t seen Deborah Bowness wallpaper then do yourself a favour. Simply amazing!

designtrolls

I have a sweet spot for wallpaper, the issue is that I also have an issue with the idea of putting it in my own space. But when it comes to the amazing wallpaper by Deborah Bowness I am having issues not ordering it and putting it up in every room of my home. Ok, maybe not an entire wall of it – since that would be a bit over the top – but I’d put it up on a panel, on one wall on its own, I’d frame it… There is no end to the possibilities. One of my seasonal favorites {being the apartment in the city dweller that I am} must be the wallpaper christmas tree – bring it on!

Tricky Grasscloth Job

Hanging wallpaper is an art. It requires knowledge, skill and an eye for detail. This installation was no easy job but Julie the “Wallpaper Lady” handled it with ease. Very talented!

OK, to you, it’s a beautiful entry cloaked in the warm color and texture of grasscloth. But there is a LOT of work that went into this – 2 1/2 days, in fact, not counting the day and a half to prep the space. Just the wall with the windows took FIVE HOURS.

There are several complicating factors. The bull nosed edges are always tough to trim around, and to get stiff grasscloth to bend and conform to. Bullnosed corners are tricky, too, because paper does not cut squarely like it does with squared corners and turns. The windows that need to have the paper wrapped into the recessed area can be time consuming. (there is a distant photo and a close up photo, but they are not next to one another, sorry). The curved wall presents challenges in keeping the paper straight and free of wrinkles. There was another…
